The KZN Investor Network

The KZN Investor Network is a Stedone Group initiative that will attract both local and international direct investment into the province of KwaZulu-Natal (KZN).

The network aims to capitalise on the momentum that the FIFA 2010 World Cup will give to the Province and, very importantly, grow investment beyond 2010 for South Africa’s second largest provincial economy.

This will be facilitated through an online portal reaching a network of investors, which will capitalise on the power of the Internet to attract foreign and local direct investment into the Province.

The network has received the backing of organisations like the Durban Investment Promotion Agency; Trade and Investment KwaZulu-Natal; the Durban Chamber of Commerce; Tourism KZN and the Department of Trade and Industry, and will partner with these organisations to identify opportunities and open them up to the investor base.

The KZN Investor Network will not only feature all the news about the latest projects within the network, but also keep investors aware of important economic developments within the Province, as well as profile various regions so that investors can get a real feel for KwaZulu Natal, its potential and the kind of opportunities it offers.

With the combination of the Stedone Group’s 30 year track record and extensive experience in infrastructure related projects, together with the investment power of a global community, KwaZulu Natal will be able to capitalise on enormous global awareness generated around the World Cup during 2010 and beyond.

THE AIM OF KZNIN

The Network aims to, through strategic and powerful partnerships, capitalise on the momentum that the FIFA 2010 World Cup is bringing to South Africa and KwaZulu-Natal. More importantly, it aims to attract both local and international direct investment growth beyond 2010 into KwaZulu-Natal.

HOW THE KZN INVESTOR NETWORK WORKS

The KZN Investor Network will communicate with a growing database of investors through the following communication platforms:

A Magazine – The “KZN Investor” magazine has strategic distribution points, locally, which includes all the VIP lounges of eight of South Africa’s airports, and internationally. With a current print run of 10 000 magazines, the KZN Investor magazine aims to turn it’s readership into well informed investors.

Website – The Network’s website will feature all the information on the latest projects within the Network, and will also make investors aware of important economic developments within the KwaZulu Natal.

Monthly e-newsletters – Direct to subscribers’ inboxes, the monthly newsletters will inform subscribers of past events and activities that the Network has been involved in, all the while keeping its subscribers up to date on relevant opportunities.

Networking functions – The Network aims to bring like-minded investors together in social environments, be it over coffee, a light lunch or a round of golf.
